.454 lift is perfect \\ not to much
The duration is 225 @ 50 and good to 6000 rpm +
The plus is because your running 360 heads on a 318. ( higher flowing heads )The 318 only demands so much air.
this cam loves rpm but has a ton of low end torque.
It will sound choppy as you wanted ,in fact if you put a good exhaust system on the car you will love it.
If you get a new exhaust system and dont mind if it's loud then go with a three inch system and a good set of performance mufflers.
Your 3.23 gears are the limiting factor in your combination, but this cam will work with your gears and any lower gear ratio you choose.
The 3.23's work in your situation because you have a 4 speed transmission.
If you did not get valve spings yet then buy the ones that go with the ssi cam
valve spring part # vs150
Also the lifters they sell are good to 6000 rpms

The same cam is in my 67 cuda with a fresh 318.
I would love to put slicks on the car but this combination will toast my
7 1/4 rear end in two seconds.
If you run slicks,replace your u joints first and make sure that you have new engine and transmission mounts installed.
Mancini racing makes a engine mount called { mag mounts }
It is a bolt throgh design that locks up under hard acceleration.

NOT SURE IF YOU HAVE A MEC. SECONDARY CARB OR A VAC. SECONDARY
Important:: CHANGE THE POWER VALVE TO A 3.5.
IT MIGHT SEEM SMALL BUT IT WILL WORK GREAT.
iF YOU CAN PUT A 1 INCH - 4 HOLE SPACER ON THE INTAKE THEN USE ONE.
iF NOT, RUN A 3/4 OR EVEN A 1/2 INCH FOUR HOLE SPACER.
THE ONLY THING THAT WOULD STOP YOU FROM USING THE 1 INCH SPACER IS YOUR HOOD CLEARANCE.
TIMING AT LEAST 34 TOTAL.
IF YOU HAVE A MOPAR PERFORMANCE DISTRIBUTOR THAT HAS THE ADVANCED CURVE ,THEN SET THE TIMING AT 36 TOTAL.

You need to set your total timing and then drive the car and make sure that it does not ping.
MY CRANKING PRESSURE ON MY MOTOR IS 144 PSI. WITH THAT CAM.
BUT CHECK THE CRANKING PRESURE OF YOUR MOTOR WHEN IT'S DONE SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR MOTOR HAS.
YOUR GOING TO HAVE A LITTLE MORE COMPRESSION THEN I DO.
MY 318 HAS STOCK HEADS AND A MODERN STOCK PISTON.
BUT YOUR HEADS ARE CUT 360 HEADS ,SO CHECK IT.
ALSO CHECK THE VALVE TO PISTON CLEARANCE JUST TO BE SAFE.
