Radio??
No need for pros, yet. Just use a systematic approach to finding the problem. You will need a test light or multi-meter, a known good speaker, a known good sound source with accessible speaker outlets. (I use a thoroghly violated ghetto blaster for the latter two).
1. Rule out power issue. Connect one lead of test light to blue wire where it would connect to radio. Connect other lead to ground. Turn ignition key to ON or ACCESSORY position. If no light, re-check connections and try again. If light comes on, no power problem with getting power to the radio in the car.
2. Rule out speaker issues: a. Connect rebuilt speaker in place of one from known working sound source. Don't be worried about polarity, but start with volume on source turned very low and slowly increase. If speaker works, no problem with speaker.
3. Connect radio to power source, ground, antenna, and a known working speaker. If no work, go back and re-check connections. Try again. Double check with test light by rigging in parallel with wiring to radio, using the radio chassis as a ground, then again in series with radio. If light does not work when grounded to radio chassis (in parallel), run a separate ground wire from the body to the radio chassis. This will correct radio ground problem. If light works in parallel but not in serial, radio is dead.
