Prestone sells a kit but their kit requires that the heater hose be spliced into. I reckon, somewhere down the road, splicing the heater hose may increase the likelihood of a possible leak.
It may increase the opportunity for a leak, but driving my car increases the opportunity for an accident. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$, I'm just saying that it's nothing I would worry over. I ran one for a long time on my /6 Barracuda decades ago and for a while on my big block Duster and never had a problem with either.
