Carter AVS Carbs
So it sounds like the carb body casting must be the correct number for your car, otherwise pretty much anything goes. I bet the rules say a whole lot of other stuff must be pretty much stock as well. This works to your advantage. With a pretty stock setup, the factory carb should be reasonable right out of the box. Obviously get a Carter Carb book, google or whatever. Get your car to the track and start tuning. I bet you end up doing a whole lot of other stuff before you need to do something cosmic to the carb to squeak out that last hundredth.
Best thing would be to start talking to those who run that class and index (even the Chevy and Ford guys).
