I need to know the part number for the roller pilot bearing thats availible for my MP short block. The local Dodge dealer is insisting it's all brass, and I know it's a roller. The part comes in tomorrow and ONE of us is going to be wrong. I need back up! I know it's for a Dakota, but I need the actual number.

P-L-E-A-S-E.... :?

I have one but can't remember the part number. It is Federal Mogul. Hit Moparts real quick, someone there will know.

Thanks for the response guys! The number SixPack provided may be the most helpful. I gave the parts manager the the MP # and he groaned " that's the Mopar Performance crap...." and I knew right away I was in trouble. He had a hard time cross-referencing it to a regular number. Last night I checked out the tech archives over at MoParts and came up with two numbers: The one SixPack posted 53009180, and also 4338876, which is a standard sleeve type w/o roller bearings.

On a happeir note I got the old engine out last night. Hopefully I'll have the new one in this weekend. The rest of this week is out of the question starting with tonight: REAL GOOD seats to see RUSH at the Jones Beach theater on the water :thumleft:

Thanks again. More to follow!

Got the bearing yesterday.... Which way does it go in, or is it self-explanitory? I notice that one side has a bevel, the other a step. I still have the engine on the stand so I didn't take a good look yet.

Tomorrow morning-9:00am the motor goes IN that %$#@#$ car.

mmMMMmmm.... thats why they call me, they call me the working man.... erm.. us... working men... .... nevermind ;)
