So I checked out fuel pumps - Carter M6370 o.k. ? As far as sending unit it and sock it was replaced in Nov of 06. The fuel pump im using now is under a year old. Only thing stock is small fuel lines and old tank. The engine builder (major race guru Steve Wann )said he had the car set lean ,but running 13.50s all day its deff a strange anomaly . Bad Gas ? I always run hi 92 gas.

Thanks guys fir the input . I dont want to lose the that heavy nova again when we meet up at the Sacramento raceway in a few weeks.

i still think its the ignition. chrome box on the firewall?

1. make sure its on tight and the ground is good. use a ground strap from the box to the back of the cylinder head.
2. check inside the distributor cap and make sure everything looks ok. seems redundant but check anyways. air gap set to .008 w/ non-magnetic feeler gauge.
3. recheck your timing. intial and total.
4. last resort if problem comes back. try another ignition box.
