Land Speed Racing 2010
Hello Mopar Fanatics,
Don't go all crazy on me but I have secured my ride for Bonneville 2010. While it was last powered by an Early Hemi (392) it will for this race anyway revert to it's original 304 cubic inch Studebaker Avanti engine with a Paxton blower.
Here are some pics.
This car has a 40 year history at Bonneville. 22 records with one still on the books. CBF/ALT 239.208 in 1979 with the 392 Hemi power.
I have named the car "The Bucket List Dream" in recognition of my four year battle with cancer. I hope to stay healthy and finish the car and drive it next August. My goal is to go 200 MPH to add my name to the club. Just thought you might find this interesting. Who knows maybe a Hemi will find it's way into the car after I use it. I'll try to keep you posted if there is any interest.
