Buyer beware I know, but a member on here has really screwed me. I bought some items (Radiatorw/fan, guages, and wheels) listed in this thread: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=9650&highlight=aluminum+radiator+weld
after many emails and thought everything was good. Up until the time when the first package came, I open the box up to find the guages, rough but good, and a radiator that I can only assume is off some middle eastern mini truck. It is smaller than the stock unit, has no fill tube, the inlet and outlet are mis sized and mis placed and there is no bracketing to speak of. The guy told me he ran it on his 70 Cuda. Bull. Total bill for radiator and an electric fan was $150. That fan better be worth $145 but from the looks, it in no way could keep an Indy 600 block cool as was advertised to me.
I still havent received my wheels and tires ($350) and have had no replys to two emails since recieving the first package. Oh and I orginally paid in mid April.
Anybody live in bat swinging distance of a Terry Trump of FARIBAULT, MN Please let me know. Or him by emailing: 440power@cvtel.net

I just want some freaking answers and maybe my hard earned money back. I'd be happy to return the radiator.

Might have a return address on the box, will have to check. Cant even trust Mopar guys anymore...

SEFUS, sorry to hear about your experience, I know we all in this community feel your frustration and anger, wish there was something I could do. If he reads this post maybe he will come to his senses and do the right thing. I know I speak for all of us in this forum and our MOPAR comunity. Wish you the best of luck.

Rob.

Man, that is the kind of stuff that really pisses me off. If I was closer to him, I'd ring his friggin neck.

DUDE! I feel like paypaling you the extra money he tried to get me to pay after we set a final price. Holy crap I am going to have to calm down before calling. That is great! THANK YOU!

No Sweat, Boys..................... :salut:

Wonder if this Chump...I mean Trump is any kin to "The Donald"? No matter, I've got two words for you Mr. Terry Trump........"You're Fired"! Seriously man, do the right thing by sefus bro.

people like Trump make it so nobody on this site trusts anybody thats very sad, if he lived near me i`d choke him out.

It`s amazing how money will bring out the worst in some people. I`ve been screwed so much putting my car together that I`ve grown to almost expect it. One car I bought on Ebay about a year ago was supposedly a #`s matching b/b car (68 Cuda and was advertised to be all there). When the car arrived, the engine was 67, trans 69, driveshaft, z-bar,clutch fork, pivot were all for a s/b ,and I could go on! Needless to say I couldn`t use most of it.The guy who sold it was either a total moron or a big liar. I tend to think he was a big liar. People who sell should be honest with what they`re selling ,but greed often sends their morals packing. Good luck with this guy and I hope you get some resolve that satisfies you!

This really sucks Sefus. luckily you have a phone number, but if you call, get your moneys worth. I reamed a crook once, never got my money back, but I sure felt better.
Everyone should ask for pics at least, when buying anywhere. I hope I've never screwed anyone, I would feel like a total s%$*. By the way, I just bought some things from The Paddock. They were terrific.

this is a example of what makes us that sell stuff have to jump through hoops to try to gain trust. It makes me sick.
Sefus, i hope you get some kind of resolve out of this.

Further more, for everyones info. the stuf that I sell, I have numeous refernces of people that I have had transactions with that are more than willing to vouche for me. I mostly cross ship stuff, I provide pictures and descriptions and tracking #'s, and I follow up on the progress the whole way to make sure your happy with what you got. If there ever is a concern, I make it right as soon as posible, although I have not ever had a problem yet, and I have sold alot....alot...alot...
So buyers dont buy blind, know what your getting. I am always happy to help, because it does not behoove me to screw someone..i got too much riding on my sales.

good luck!

Yeah i do a little selling online mostly of stuff I know I wont or cant use and that someone else can apprciate the item for what it is. It's not that hard to be truthful. I offer pictures, tracking numbers, reference my seller status on ebay, follow up after its been delivered, anything that will make a buyer confident, and those little steps arent hard to do.

I did just receive an email form Mr. Trump stating "I've been working 19 days without a day off. I will get them out this weekend". That was the full email, no reference to my feedback on the radiator and that is what was said for 3 or 4 times for the first package. He really does seem like a decent guy but the time and the radiator issue is just too much. If the wheels and tires are near perfect like they were advertised, which I'm not expecting them to be, I'm still out a good $150 on the radiator. It just sucks.
Thanks for all the replies from everyone btw, it has definetly helped.

Hey I feel your pain. I was screwed by a guy that goes by the name of BigBlockDakota (Greg Goodsell 8013Lazy Brook, Watauga Texas .- intensedak39@yahoo.com ) bought some roller rockers and some pushrods off of this dirtbag . The roller rockers were fused right to the shafts. The bearings were screwed, the shafts were not hardened just stock shafts. He claimed not to know they were junk. That's just BS, I noticed the instant they came out of the bag. He promised the world, never did get anything from the loser except promises. Turns out there is many more than just me who got screwed by him. So buyer beware, I hope your experience turns out much better than mine.

I do hate to hear this. I traded an intake and carb to a guy over on mo-style and still haven't seen a thing. The guy goes by 1984dodgeram, and 79cordoba. I noticed that the two sceenames were the same guy, and this was after the transaction. The guy wasn't happy with the parts, and instead of returning them, complained a bunch. I've given up on getting anything from the guy for the parts, and now just would like the UPS charges. Don't think it'll happen. I haven't had any other bad transactions. i love this site, and mo-style and hope it doesn't happen any more.

Sorry to hear about your dilema, that sucks hard. These people that screw others on purchases aren't that bright, as there reputation will get known eventually and then if sellers or purchasers are smart they will steer clear of them. It is too bad that people like this have to make it hard for people to trust and be trusted. I know some people buy and sell for income and that is fine. I as a hobbyist try to find deals that I can afford and when selling treat people the best that I can as we are supposed to be fellow Moparists. But it is guys like this that don't deserve to be classed as such as they don't fit the mold.

I have dealt with or been in contact with really great Mopar guys one from this forum Scott (mrmopartech) really upstanding guy. Another from ebay that I bought multiple items from and paypaled the money right away when he sent be the total for all items + shipping. I then saw an email later on saying I had a paypal refund, turns out the post office charged him less then they quoted so he rebated me $ 10. Now that is a reputable Mopar guy. Unfortunately they arent all like that. Maybe we should have a forum for advertising the rotten apples of the bunch on here so we can make other aware of who is trustworthy and who is not! Anyway enough venting I hope this works out for you, and that buddy's prize hemi throws a rod :eek:ops: Did I say that out LOUD!!

It might not be fair or truthful but I don't trust anyone with just a few posts to a forum. If they are active and/or fairly regular you can probably trust them but just a couple posts? You'll need to stick around awhile before I'll buy anything from you.

this realy ¤%&&#"&" i dont buy much that i havens seen but i live in a country where i can and will find the guy who sold me useless stuff if that would ever happen
sorry to here that you goot screewed :(

For anyone who is following my little expensive battle, I got my wheels two days ago. Thats right I paid in mid April and on June 24th they were delivered (with no notice or tracking # prior to, btw). Condition, well his ad on this board said:
"Weld Prostars 15X4 w/ Goodyear 26" front runners MINT COND!"

Lets just say that mint condition must work on a sliding scale. The casting date on them is 2-3-94. For being 12 years old they dont look too bad with too many scratches but we'll see what some polish can do. Oh and he kindly didnt include the center caps. The Goodyear front runners mounted on them seem about like the wheels, old and ok but sure not something I would advertise as 'MINT!'

I sell parts on a couple of 4x4 web boards. I hoard Mopar stuff generally so I don't sell much there.

However I do have some insight here if you want to read it.

It is a strange business selling parts. It always comes down to basic trust and communication. I sell some 4x4 parts on occasion, to the tune of a couple of hundred bucks a month.

If I were inclined to be dishonest, it would be hard to be so. For instance, a guy that I am selling a Ford part to right now is also on a Toyota board. I had no idea he was into multiple makes. Small, small world the net is.........I think the Mopar world is smaller.

A few ideas to protect yourself would include:

1. Ease of communication-can you reach the seller?
2. Will they allow a phone call? Do they seem honest?
3. Pictures? How many and quality of them?
4. Using Paypal-extremely friendly for buyers, not as much for sellers.
5. Pay via USPS MO - you have some recourse as a buyer.

Just a thought from the other side. I like helping others and it helps me as well. I will likely fund this years Duster build-up with my students via parts sales. It is kind of fun after awhile once you get things set up.

Thanks, ROB
