255/60/15 - stock 70-72 Dart

I measured again today, with air in them, i'm coming up with just shy of 27".

rmchrgr, why wouldn't you want to run a 27" with 4.10s? Are you looking for a certain RPM range, unless your shifting at 6500+, you should be just fine with 4.10s & a 27" tire i would think, if your making any power, you'll need tires under her, like some have told me, a 235/60/15 is just not enough tire for decent traction, & thats with a very mild 360.

Was just using some of the online calculators for optimum tire/gearing. It looked like I'd need more gear for a certain RPM. I put in 5,800 as my redline for a stock bottom end 318 running at 105 mph and it came up with 25.97". If I'm anywhere up over that mph, I need more tire or gear. It's not exact science though. Not sure what effect a taller tire has on ET with less-than-optimal gearing, probably negligible until you start going faster than 12's. I'd imagine that the slightly larger contact area would definitely help!
