Hello,

I am converting to power steering. Do I need dual pullies for the alternator and the crank? I am running a a 360 without AC.

Can somebody post a picture of power steering without AC on their Duster?

If I remember correctly you just need a double pulley for the Crank. The Waterpump and ALT run off the other belt

i agree with him...

and why would u add P/S????

I'm adding power steering to my Valiant so I can drive it. Physical limitations (broken vertabrae in back, arthritis in spine and every other joint I have, spinal cord damage, artificial knee, major heart attack, bypass surgery) have me to the point that I can only do around 50 miles with manual steering and I am done for the day. I am also switching from a 4 speed to an automatic transmission since I can't really deal with a clutch anymore (see knee). What's the point of having an old A body if all you can do with it is gawk and ooh and aah at it? Might as well send it to the crusher if that's the case. I own a '66 Valiant because that's the car I like and want to drive.

Thanks everybody.

Abody Joe you have been hooking me up the last few days thank you!

I bought a rebuilt K-frame that had a power steering box so I figured I would keep it. Plus, power steering is nice!

Thanks again for the replies.

If you haven't found a double groove crank pulley, I'll send you mine, if you send me your single groove pulley. I just converted my 68 cuda from power steering to manual steering. I'd like to use a single groove crank pulley if I can, it looks weird with the double groove and single belt. You have a small block, right?

Yes I have a small block. I will PM You. Sounds good to me!

very true! cars arn't ment to be stationary!

you should be able to trade parts with someone who wants manual steering. You do know that the steering shaft and coupler needs to be changed, don't you?
