slant six dipstick

As stated, looksl ike you have the truck motor there. 1 of 2 choices you have now. Take it out and get an engine with the dipstick hole already drilled or drill out the hole yourself. I would think by the looks of things option 2 is probably the way you'll wanna go. You will need to pull the pan back off because no matter what you do there are going to be metal shavings and filings that will find their way into the pan. Center punch the boss and start with a very small bit and work your way up to the correct size, be very mindful of the angle your drilling at, you want it to go into the pan just like factory, not pointing into the crank or crammed into the side of the oil pan. I am guessing you got this from a salvage yard, if it's been 2 years you aint going to have much of a legg to stand on as far as trying to be compensated for the screw up, but never hurts to try I guess. Good luck, and if you need a measurement of the hole size or the angle that it goes into the block at, let me know, I will gladly take measurements off of my 225 sitting on the engine stand in my garage.
