I have seen this happen when the intake manifold gasket did not seal off well and it would suck oil out of the engine to 1 or more cylinders. This will usually cause a rough idle (vacumn leak). Also would check the PVC system, if aftermarket valve covers were used make sure the shield has been installed on the PVC side. If it was this though it would probably smoke out both exhaust. I had a similar problem with plug fouling in cylinders 6 & 8 due to intake gaskets. I also had smoking on the right side. You can check this fairly easily. with the engine warmed up and running, spray carb cleaner along the intake manifold where it seals to the head. If there is a change in RPM's then a leak is present. If not then you may have other problems.
