Anyone use an engine lift plate anymore on aluminum intakes?

I use one and heven't had an issue. I'm careful the the nuts are down evenly and tight so one stud isn't forced to carry an uneven amount of load. Maybe I'm not wise to be doing so but I haven't had an issue yet.........
