1 Of 53 1969 Barracuda 383s Factory 4 Speed 4 Trade

The numbers I have are 4243 383 A-body Barracudas. Is one of 53 for '69 383 4-speeds? I'd pay more for an unrestored car that drives and doesn't have big rust problems than a half assed restoration. With those, you have to undo everything before you can start over, and you don't know what's hiding. You also have to question what they did as far as an engine rebuild, and how far they bored the block. I'm not trying to be a dick here. Big block A-bodies are definitely cool, and 4000 or so made 40 years ago, plus whatever Darts were made, is still a very small number, but I have one friend with an original 383 4-speed Dart daily driver, and another original undriven 440 Dart. The real money in these cars is what it costs to restore one if you want the Barrett Jackson type dollars out of it. Your not an idiot, and your goals sound very reasonable. You have a lot of good selling points. It's a matching numbers big block, 4-speed, little rust, and original paint. What do you mean by "Engine is out and in the process of being freshened up"? Are you doing a dingle ball rebuild--just new rings and bearings, or .030" over? If you're selling/trading the car, I think the new owner would want the car as it is, without you doing anything else to the car.
