Here is another one,
At our hang out up at Finch/Weston for you GTA guys there was a 67 Fastback Mustang with a velocity Stack, flames etc and somthing new to us at the time, Nitrous. He was pretty proud of this car and always wanted to run somebody. We decided to run so we headed down to a marked off 1/4 mile (Park Lawn cut off) we used to use. It was part of the hwy you could get out of the car and walk around . We had no starter for this one so agreed on a rolling start. We approched the start , slowed down , and just in time I noticed a cop pulled over out of his car sitting a couple of lanes over seperated by a gaurd rail with his arms folded watching us coming to the line at 3/4 grand in first. We just drove the rest of the 1/4 at about 40 mpg side by side laughing. A flamed mustang and a 70 340 Duster. Good times.
