rocker exchange

I paid 100 $ for a '66 2 bbl 273 complete including the trans, starter, distributor, all the engine brackets, pulleys the whole mess and from oil pan to air cleaner. This was at a swap meet about 5-10 years ago, so, maybe your deal is reasonable.

I guess the question becomes if you get the motor what will you use the parts for ? If you have a firm idea go for it.

Its still alot of work to yank the motor out of the car. Cut a deal with the junkyard and have them pull the motor for that price, then its an okay deal in my opinion. About 20 minutes with the hot wrench and their fork lift and voila - motor is out, vs your all day effort, busted knuckles etc.
