Hey Kev, went back through pics and from what I see is that the '71's were painted and the 72's weren't. For the '71's, most of the fender tag examples are rubbings and not pics so it's not for sure but the biggest evidence was 2 originals, one had the tag off leaving a bare metal area where the tag would have been and the other was all paint. Then there's the 'no scoops' one on this string that was paint. As for the '72's, as our cars indicate, they were bare metal. Now, can't speak for the Pembina car - don't have a pic of that one. Maybe Darrel is poking around here and can fill us in a bit more with his 3...
