Tire question

I took the tires down to about 18#. Spun all the way through first and into second. Like I said though, there was no heating of the tires. Just stage and go. 1.9 60' times with a 8.09 @ 86mph 1/8 mile times. I imagine that these are old technology and I should go to a D.O.T. drag tire. I want to stay away from radials though. Especially with the belted Moroso drag tires on the front.
