I am new to this forum. My dad had a very special car that I remember him talking about fondly- that he sold when my sister was born to get a station wagon. He was never really a car guy, but this car was very special to him, and the car that all three of us were brought home from the hospital in. I can tell that is is a Barracuda, probably 67-69, but I'm not sure which year. Unfortunately, these are the only photos that remain of it. Can anyone help me identify which year it was? Thanks.

The picture is a little blurry, but the radio in the 67 were dial type and the 68 had thumb dials. By the look of the hood 69, s had a ridge at the middle of the hood. yours does not look like a 69.

Definitely a 67 arm rest bases and pads are a one year only. And what a cool set of pics with mom and all 3 of the kids there!! Very nice!! Pretty slick polka dots on moms dress too........the 60-70's were very groooooovy!!

By the look of the hood louvers you have a '67. The window crank and glove box pull are also '67. Mike

I say 67 the fish emblem is at the forward part of the front fender. 68 was at the rear between the wheel well and the door. I believe 69 was the same as 68. I agree with the hood louver and the marker light. 67 had no
side marker lights.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like it just may be a 67. Are you thinking about trying to get another one like it?

I am looking to get one as close as possible. As a compromise with my wife, I may need to go the convertible route.

Well, we live in "South Canada" (aka Minnesota), so I'll probably only get to drive it a few months of the year.

tough compromise...most guys have to promise a bathroom or kitchen renovation!

Aloha

Welcome!!! Your dad has great taste in cars. Are you looking to find another?

Had is more accurate- the Barrauda was followed by an Aries K station wagon, Pacer, Chevette, and Dodge Shadow, not necessarily in that order. But yes, I am definitely looking for another Barracuda.

Yes family life has a way of doing that to you sometimes. It took me 22 years to get back into it (but I kept the car during that time).
Cudas seem to come up here now and again and there's a lot of very knowledgeable people here to help steer you in the right direction if need be. Good luck in your quest!
