Roller cam block - use flat tappet cam

I understand why everyone loves the roller lifters but I still like a flat tappet cam for some uses. If the duration is under around 275, it actually opens the valves quicker than a roller...especially a flat tappet solid designed for a .904" lifter.

I'm strokin a 85 318 roller to 392 and I'll be using a flat tappet solid from Clay Smith Cams (custom). It's gonna be turbocharged so the duration numbers will be lower than an N/A motor so it will spool quick. In my case the flat tappet solid will actually outperform the roller.
