My 1964 Valiant Signet does not use sail panels,
which is what made the job such a bitchh. Did you buy your headliner yet? How many bows does the old one have?
My headliner has 5 bows. I didn't have the lights back in that area either, but behind the headliner mine had cardboard. My 64 four door Dart has them also. It is a 6 bow headliner. My 65 cuda that I have, it has a 4 bow headliner in it. Ya I bought my headliner from Dante's Mopar parts.
