Plymouth Valiant from the movie Duel

"Duel" actually featured 3 different Valiants :

Novembre 1971 T.V. Movie of the Week version :
1970 model with a 318 , and a 1971 model with a Slant Six

Theatrical Release ( U.K. , Oz , 1972 ) :
The aforementioned '70 318 and '71 225 models , but with a 1972 Slant Six model , which was used for the added scenes for the theatrical release .

All three were FE5 Rallye Red with dark/light tan interiors , and the 1971 only , Plymouth only deluxe wheel covers .

The added scenes are as follows :
- Driving around city streets , to the Pasadena Freeway ( then , Route 11 ) , to the Golden State Freeway , and up-to the Antelope Valley Freeway ( Route 14 ) ;
- Chuck's Cafe interior shots ;
- 1st Gas Station shots ;
- Extended chase scenes ;
- Rail Road crossing ;
- Bus scene

If you look closely , you can see the 1972 & up "universal" side marker lamps in the added scenes ; and you can see the 1970 only
" V-EIGHT " emblem on the upper-forward section of the front fenders in some of the up-hill scenes .
