what is the in thing about manual steering that seems to be going around? This car is a chore to steer and prevents me from placing wide tires on the front.

Can't beat the simplicity & weight savings you get with manual steering. I prefer it to power steering. The key is to only steer while the car is in motion. If you're trying to turn the car is at a standstill you will find it difficult, this really shouldn't be done with PS either as it's very hard on the tires. I also drive a big block B-body without PS & wide radials with no problem. Very nice dart BTW!
