We are having our Demon repainted and I can save some labor dollars by removing the grille, bumpers, etc. It looks like the roof rail trim is pinched onto the body. Is there a fairly easy way to remove it without screwing it up?
Easiest way I've found is to get it started at the right end(if right handed) and slip the thinnest putty-knife you can find under it and tap the putty knife slowly and carefully down the strip, you'll find it comes off without much trouble at all.
I straighten and polish trim professionally and what I usually see is very small or even large distorted areas at each point where folks try to work it off the lip by lifting it upward.........just sayin'
