New best, new problems...video!

1st. what rear tires are you running.

if they are NOT slicks or ET street/ QTP / drag radials,......you will never hook and its pointless trying to get a good ET or incrementals

Its got MT Drag radials on it. It went a 1.60 60' time leaving at 2500. It was only when I turned the RPMs up to 2800 that I had any traction problems (and I did kind of a crappy burnout on that pass). I'm hoping to get some 1.5x next time.

the car looks great! What did you change in the motor after it ate the pushrod? did you upgrade anything? i know jegs sells hardened steel pushrods for 50 bucks. also is your trans a regular 904? a low gear 99 might help the lauch. what did you shift at also?

I tried to measure lifter preload, which is trickier than it should be and got some shorter pushrods. I replaced the damaged lifters, but there's tapping elsewhere, so I have ordered a complete new set of the Sealed Power units (the Mopar stock replacement Magnum lifters are JUNK). When I can get it to stop tapping I am changing the valve springs and *may* convert to stud mount rockers.

I do have the low gear set in the 904. Shift at 5700, just to be safe until I get some confidence about the valvetrain. The car is still pulling *very* hard at that RPM.
