My advice was read everything you can on this procedure and I pointed him to two good sources of information. Performing brake work of any kind is potentially dangerous and the best advice I can give is, read everything you can on the subject before starting the procedure. I wasnt advocating he install calipers to the rear, just pointing out areas to consider and adding that I struggled with that decision for days before did it.
