Possible Vapor Lock

If the pressure reduction to 6 psi is insufficient, consider putting a spacer between the carb and the intake manifold. There are a lot of postings from FABO members who swear by the 1-inch spacer to keep the fuel from percolating and causing the problem that you are experiencing.

Thanks for all the help, today I checked the PSI on the gauge and it was about 7, should it be 6? How do I know. I was really hoping to take my car down to a real pro shop and get this thing tuned for real. Also, if I do have vapor lock: answer me this: After I shut off the car and try to crank it over, if somebody looks down the carb and I pump the throttle there shouldn't be any gas if it's locked up correct?

Also, what forumula is used to determine the psi and how to set the fuel regulator?

Thanks!
