273 Build

As always, good news, bad news. I finally got some time to work in the garage
today. I cleaned my blasted parts and started some painting. I used Eastwood Factory grey high temp coating on the exhaust manifolds. They look pretty good but I will give them a second coat. The paint streaks a bit because of the metal in it. It is a brush on and comes with sponge brushes which work well. I usually start off in a hurry and don't think things through. Well today is no exception. I started painting my alternator brackets and wondered why it looked like poop. Duh! I should have used some primer. Oh well, stopped b/4
I got too far. I disassembled my rockers for a thorough cleaning and inspection. Everything looks good there. Bad news. Push rods are too long! Dang I knew that would happen. I ordered a checker from Mancini. I'm sure you-all have one laying around that you would love to get rid of. I might as well have one too. Never know, I might build another motor. This is fun. I can't believe I'm being so patient about the obstacles. and the slow process. Time to sign off. Here's some photos. toolman
