so my buddy has a 73 240z, real nice. he has webers carbs on it and it seems like he can turn it on, rev it once or twice, and hes set for the road. does anyonme make a carb like this for our /6s? mine is a 225 with stock manifold. i wanna updated to a 360 eventually but for now i wanna have the car run better since the original 1brr is crap. id prefer a 2brr but a 1brr that would function how i described would be fine

He has a 1923 240Z ???? Have you asked this question on slantsix.org ?? Someone there should know the answer. I can't see any 1BBL doing you any better cause it'll only flow so much. Does anyone make an adapter to put a 2bbl on the single intake?? That might be an option. As far as not having to warm it up before you can go is a function of choke/cold enrichment. A newer 2bbl might function better. The Z probably has some computerized control to aid in startup and cold running.

If you can scrounge one of the manifolds for a carbureted 280Z (I'm fairly certain that the ports/bolt holes match up) and two of the Hitachi sidedraft slide carbs, it's a snap to get it running really well. Just so someone may learn from my past mistakes: make sure the carbs have the correct amount of the proper viscosity oil in the reservoirs. It's a total slug otherwise.

Edit: Crap. I misread this in a huge way. I don't know of anything for a slant that wouldn't involve a bunch of fabrication. Need more caffeine.

its a 73, i mistyped (early morning thread:read2:) and he has as much computerization as we do

clifford / 6 = 8 online. They have all that stuff

Pick up a 390cfm 4 bbl. Mine's a holley, and you really don't want too much carburetion. Also, you'll need a manifold, and want to open up to some bigger exhaust, that's the biggest help.

I also read there's a buick V6 you can get the fuel injection off of that works perfectly, can't remember which one though.

There are a couple of Weber side draft kits for the slant six - but I don't see any of these being easy to tune. Some people have adapted a single Weber DGAV to a super six manifold though.
