Mason Dixon Dragway Rant

Ok so I drive to Mason Dixon Dragway today to go to the car show/dragrace/swap. I know it was raining most of the way up. I called the drag line all the way up for updates every 30 min. just in case. I live 130 miles one way pulling a trailer and car . I pull into the track and nobody is manning the gate. I also see somone pulling up signs around the area. I also observed some guys setting up swap spots and what not. Also the rain has stopped by now. After about 30 min the people pulling up signs reach my area and I asked whats up? She says oh the race is cancelled. I said wouldnt it be nice to tell someone before swap spots are set up and people are getting situated? She said dunno. Finally the annoucement comes. One of the reasons they stated was the car show could not go on the soggy grass. I do understand this but why did I have to drive 130 miles before they told me? The grass was soggy last night so they could have called it then and put it on the hotline dont you think? The Hotline made you think the weather was going to be ok and so did doplar radar. Thats why I continued to come. I guess I think they could have done some better planning. Im not sure I will continue to go to this one. Also they re-scheduled on the same day as another big Mopar event in the area. What are they thinking???????????
