crack in intake manifold

I like my Eddy StreetMaster single plane myself, I drive it regularly as a daily in the summer, but as stated there are dual planes that would suit a daily driver better, depends on your usage and what you want. Is this common, not that I have heard of and I agree with Dartman on the possible cause. Without knowing exactly where the crack goes thru to ie intake runners or crossover channel, or whatever, can't say as to whether it would affect it if laft as is. I do know that it is/could be fixed with the location of the crack, but would require a good sized water cooled T.I.G. machine (I wouldn't care for using wire feed for something like that although I suppose it "could" be used) and an oven to both preheat before welding, and slow cool the part after repair (most common cause of cold cracking of aluminum welds is to fast cooling of the weld affected area after welding), I would be willing to take it off your hands for the cost of shipping if you don't wish to bother with fixing it, being as I know I could :toothy7:
