Maybe a dumb question but...

An extremely high rpm electric ducted fan used on an rc plane may do the trick on a 4cyl or maybe on a 6 cyl if a pair was used.. I did some research on this avenue for supercharging. Of course the alternator rotating energy draw may mitigate the benifit. Some of those ducted fans turn about 50k and eat like 20 - 30 amps. I would wager that they would create at least a couple pounds of pressure at 500 cfm. So, a pair of them may be able to create a couple pounds boost at 1000 cfm. The problem is the extremely high end high volume high pressure ducted fans are super expensive as they are made of composites, with polished muffler bearings, and are a for fancy *** fake jet airplane rc planes. I would totally like to see a test using a pair of high end ducted fans on a slant six. Maybe one day when I have money to burn I will myself try such a cool and fairly pointless experiment. Heck yea
