Maybe a dumb question but...

u got me lookin at pulse-jet engines lol. i am gonna try to build one just cuz i can lol. maby get it on a scooter sometime lol. if you have any places to learn how to build one let me know.
I use threaded Gas pipe sections to make the pulse-jets I mentioned earlier . As large as 2 inch pipe(inlet/outlet) approx. 5 feet in length down to small ones using 1/4 inch gas pipe .Both valved and non-valved types. Scale them similar in size to the ones you can find on youtube . Although the non-valved ones are much much more sensitive to design parameters (inlet/outlet and chamber dimensions) than the valved ones . The one I described earlier was a valved type ,the chamber was made with 2 inch diameter gas pipe ,the inlet/oulet were made with 3/4 inch gas pipe. The overall length was probably around 24 inches. If you want I can get you some pics . Not including the valve (Trade secret ) !! Try building one with threaded pipe as this allows you to alter the outlet length if needed.... and the valve....use your imagination ...if you can't come up with something on your own I will help you at a later time and give you more info . I'll tell you the same thing I tell my kids...I believe you'll learn more if you do some of the work/thinking on your own. Remember "keep it simple" ! DO NOT RUN THEM ON ACETYLENE use propane !!!
Now to get back on topic I may scrap the backpack blower plan and upgrade to one of these.
