Maybe a dumb question but...

One day at the shop, we had a small block Brand X motor strapped to a dyno and a big gas powered leaf blower handy, and a couple free hours. So we duct taped the blower to the intake and did a couple pulls. It made about 2 psi of boost all the way up to around 5,500 RPM. This wasn't a very hot smallblock, put maybe 200 hp to the wheels on a good day. One with better breathing probably wouldn't have had nearly as good results.
Did you get horsepower numbers with and without the leaf blower ? Thats basically what I did on my Charger . (no dyno though)
My motor was a stock 440 with mildly ported heads and the mp 509 cam the only difference I noticed was definitely much more rapid throttle response.
That leads me to believe it is possible to make so sort of hp gains with a properly sized/engineered leaf blower ? (BIGGER)(900cfm+)
Again I think the key is getting the impeller blade/scoll clearance down to a minimum . (to make boost)
Also maybe some sort of electric clutch similar to an air conditioning compressor assembly to only activate the blower when needed to keep the plastic impeller cool when you're just cruising ?
