Tis the question...........sharktooth grille....restore or not to restore????????????

I have heard of guys using the argent silver paint that most use to restore there mopar wheels.

I would not pay to have it restored,as someone else had said....it will cost alot of money for practically the same job you can do at home.

if it where ,me personally.....I would....goudge out any of the cracks, front and back until they were in the shape of a " V " ....I would then find some old plastic laying around, (preferably some old black plastic like what a tv remote controll or something is made of......not like pop bottle plastic).

I would then take a lighter and melt the plastic into the " V " shaped groves I cut where any cracks where found.

then I would take a razor blade and trim and gobs of plastic off, then I would sand the plastic smooth.

then basically treat it like any other paint job....you may want to primer it,then paint it all in the silver, then mask of the finned sections and spray those seperate in a semi gloss or a satin black.

It could be made to look brand new again with about $20.00 (if that) and about a days worth of work taking your time.

and the end product is a grille someone would pay a good $500.00 for easy enough or a great looking show worthy grille for your own ride.

I say go for restoring it and take pictures to show us lol:cheers:
