383 cast or forged crank

Yea, in 1971 Chrysler came out with a cast crank on the low performance 383's P/N 3462922. If that's what you got and you're planning on pulling a reasonable amount of horses off this engine you may want to consider changing it out to forged. The dampener will need to replaced along with the converter if the converter was originally for a cast crank 383.
