I have noticed a popping noise coming from my left year center
cap. I can't figure out why it started doing this.
I pulled it off looked at all the clips and it seems fine.
It really sucks when I am creeping through a car show and I
have this annoying pop, pop, pop, coming from this wheel.
Anyone have any ideas? I hate to buy a new one cause these
are all 4 originals. :blob:

you check for any nails or something in the tire? Had a bolt through one of my truck tires that made a pretty ugly sound. Amazing it still held air!

No, I have not checked the tire, I will check it today, hopefully
that is the problem, but the way that popping sound is it sounds
like the cap wants to shoot off. I checked the other 3 and they
are all tight the one making the noise has a little bit of play.

I had a rim make funny noises after I changed wheels studs. The jobber wheel studs had a longer spline/shank and stuck out of the axles slightly more. The (aftermarket) rim tightened down on to the shank of the wheel stud instead of the drum and axle flange. The popping sound was the drum which was not clamped down between the rim and the axle flange. Maybe this is your problem..

Hey 340duster thanks for the idea I did'nt get a chance to
pull the wheel off yesterday I got home too late and it
was already dark.
What is worse than a woman driver?
A woman driving while talking on a damn
cell phone. This lady rearended me at a lite
doing about 25 mph she still had the stupid cell
phone in her hand when her air bag went off!!
Anyways that is why I did'nt get a chance to pull off
my wheel. I am glad I was not in my Mopar and in
my truck.
