Mopar Cam

I had a guy that gave me an original Chrysler Cam for a 340,he said it was a 1968 year model cam.After all these years it still had a chrysler original tag,can some decode the number and tell me what it actually is.

02899206 is what it looks like on the tag,there is also a red paint mark and not purple.Any ideas on what it is!
