Painting wheels

I recently picked up a set of wheels that are in need of some new paint.
I understand that prep is the key to making them like new, but what kind of paint should I use?
VHT, duplicolor, ?
Something that will stand up to relatively high heat, that's not going to wash off when I spray it with degreaser...

Anyone have any tips and/or real life experience with painting wheels?
