hey 5.7...im not sure but i think he kicked you out of this thread?

Welcome back indeed.

Now how about taking back over.....I'm finished for now.

Unless you want pics of me polishing and waxing it....looks like it's time to get the camera battery re-charged....

BTW.

Heavy Duty cardboard on the sides, the kind that is laminated pieces of brown paper not corrugated ....3/16" min
1/4" ply for the floor..
I designed it and cut the patterns and had a friend who sews do the vinyl for me. I have no sewing machine and I am not allowed to touch his. :munky2:
I did get to do the carpet and the small vinyl pieces....and paint the fish with textured argent in a can...and assemble the whole thing.
NO RIPS!

And no I don't do it for a living...just for a loving:love7:...I wish I could and pay the bills.

Thanks for the nice words.....can I stand down now captn?

Hey 5.7! How is the car coming along. It has been awhile since we have heard from you and I (and others I'm sure) would like to how the project is going. Are you just taking a break from it? I understand, sometimes we just need to do something else for a while. I'll wait....

I know that his shop went from "kinda busy" to "Holy Sh*t we're busy". Since David's health has been getting better & better, he's back on the line making money. Trust me, there is still a big push being made to get that carp to Carlisle.

Very nice work! I have read thru this entire thread and have to say this is the coolest 68 fish I have ever seen! I will keep an eye on this as it nears the end, my father and I are doing the exact same swap into a 71 demon. We were both wondering how to get the mercedes trans to work and it looks like your on the right track. I hope you can fill us in on the details about how you got the trans to work. Thanks alot, your helping out many people with this project.

Sorry for being so damn lazy and tardy. The Fish will not make it to Carlisle--I've been too busy with it and other things, and I'm not gonna rush it.....

Here's a pic for your enjoyment--the stance is about perfect with the driveline in it.

DAMN! So close and yet so far. I'm with ya on the whole not rushing it part. Too much time, money, blood, sweat and tears into it to rush it.

Just keep the pictures coming. Us FABO members need our rootbeer fix!

Good move.

You never want to drop trough unless you gotta semi.8)

Sayin?

I am sure that when the fish is released it will be a beauty and well worth all of our patience.

I speak from experience.:-D

Me Too! Still trying to decide if going with the nag is a viable option. Seriously considering a 4l60 or 80 to go behind the 6.1. I would love to keep it Mopar, or Benz technically.

I just spent the last few hours reading this thread. Google lead me to it, after searching for a Third Gen Hemi K-member for the 68 Valiant I am building. I have a truck 5.7L and 545RFE to put in place of the original slant 6. Obviously new to the board, but wanted to say thanks for the detailed pics.

5.7 Dart,
I stop by on Fri. And you had some fine young lady's
guarding your dart. I stop by on Sat. and chatted with you for a few and enjoyed it. You do fine work, can't wait to see the cuda. Keep up the great work and the post's.

That NAG is definitlely a beast. The size of it is huge. Apparently Diablo tuners can make them work though if you can get it physically in the car. I was emailing with one of the developers about it. We may soon have a tune to work the entire 3G drivetrain operational in the 10/30 cuda.

every time i was near the orange 5.7 dart,,,,no one was to be found,,,,,sorry i missed you,,
