On other furums been discussing a 2006 Chevy HHR electric fan module?

Very...Very....Very...Very Happy tonight

Today I was very....very....very...very...HAPPY....got it started up with not a single leak.....ran it with no fan blowing until it reached operating temp...let it run up to 180 degrees...I stopped it and installed the HHR fan relay...I started it back up and it did not start...I found one of the wires on the thermostat disconnected and put it back on...right away the temp came back down...the tranny cooler never got over 110 degrees...I had to add another quart and a half of tranny fluid to get it right...put it in reverse and forward and it worked fine...at first I let it run without the HHR fan and when it came on I used my temp gun and found it supplying 170 degree water after 15 minutes of running it in my garage with no external fan...it also sucked a piece of paper and a rag in at the condensor coil and held it in place...I have to agree that the HHR fan pulls a lot of CFMS...by Friday I will let you know how many amps it pulls....

One rag sucked onto the condensor coil...the coil is 1 1/2" away from the radaitor

One piece of paper thrown at the condensor coil and it stuck...

Temp held for 15 minutes after running in hot garage no other fan......

Thank you for all of you that hung in there...it's not over yet....
