pushrod info needed?
388dart, When you checked your push rod length were you able to get the sweep of the roller across the valve stem to center?
I played around with the pushrod so short that the body of the rocker contacted the guide plates to about 7.9" when the sweep was almost off the tip of the valve.
The 7.800" sb Chevy pushrod length that was recomended to me actually produced the smallest sweep but it was at around 1/3 to the exhaust side of center. Anything shorter had the same outboard point but started closer to the center.
Crane recomends keeping the sweep as short as possible and as close to the center as possible. I called their tech line and didn't get much help.
I know you have edlebrock heads but was wondering how well you were able to center the sweep of the roller? I am concerened that the off center roller will put too much side load on the valve stem and wear the guide prematurely.
