1967 Dart Convertible For Sale or Trade.

I built this car in 2006, and I hardly ever do anything with it. My wife doesn't like her hair blowing in the wind, so I'm looking into the possibility of trading into something else. The car has bucket seats in decent shape, and a console shifted automatic.

This car is originally a 273/904 car that I have swapped over to a rebuilt 340 and 727. When I rebuilt the 340 I used forged TRW pistons, .030” over, and it is supposed to be around 10:1 with the 1.88” 360 heads I installed. I installed reproduction 68-70 340 exhaust manifolds from Accurate LTD on the car, and TTI exhaust. I replaced the entire suspension and driveline with new stuff when I did this in 2006. I used new .920” torsion bars, new upper and lower balljoints, new C Body tie rods and ends, new bushings, a huge new swaybar, a new driveshaft, new Espo leaf springs, a custom rear axle with the ½” relocation kit from Doctor Diff. I also had Doctor Diff build the third member for me at the same time with 3.91:1 gears in a 742 case, a u-bolt yoke, and a clutch-type sure-grip carrier. He did an excellent job with all of these parts. I also installed a new Flaming River manual steering box and u-joint style adapter.

I upgraded the whole braking system at the same time, too. The front brakes are 73-76 A Body spindles that were upgraded to the 11 7/8” rotors from a late 70s big car. I also installed 11” rear drums off of a 69 C Body. I also used a late model aluminum and plastic master cylinder that I installed using a kit from Doctor Diff. The car currently has 17” Vintage Wheel Works wheels on it that sell for $349 each, and rubber with only a few hundred miles on them.

I’m sure I’m forgetting some things. The car is in nice shape. It’s a fun car to drive, which is why I built it. It’s no show car, but it’s far from a pile of crap. It rides nice, and handles better than any other A Body I’ve ever driven. I have a lot of time and money in this car. I chose my parts carefully, and think it turned out nicely.

Asking $15,000 / OBO. If someone is interested in a trade, let me know what you have. Who knows? I may be interested. The car is located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Please let me know if you have any questions. Please PM me here, so my spam killer doesn’t wipe the message out before I have a chance to see it.

Thank you.
