Need advice with paint
First a couple of questions. Under the bubbles, is it the surface of the fiberglass you are seeing? Before painting are you cleaning/preping the surface? With what? Are you priming the surface prior to applying the paint? With what? How long had the scoop laid around before you got it and where? When it bubbles do the bubbles appear in the same locations? This scoop may have laid around in some oil or other contaminents for a long time. Fiberglass is more pourous than metal and can absorb this foriegn fluids more deeper than metal. From what i know no, my recommendation would be this. To clean use NEW store bought rags to clean it with while applying a degreaser very liberally. After you rub on the degreaser be sure to wipe it off before it dries so as to remove any contaminents that may have been lifted. After cleaned buy you some "Bulldog", it's an adhesion promoter. Comes in a spray can. Follow the directions. Spray that on and then apply your final paint. I'll know more with better advice after you answer my questions. By the way, WELCOME. You came to the best Mopar site on the net, You'll see.
