what to do with the six

too much stress on the cam gear. All replacement oil pumps are higher volume than the stock units they replace. The slant does not suffer from any oiling issues thru 5.5k rpm. Oil mods to the block can improve oiling to certain spots for race apps. A hardened gear pump is available from myself and doug dutra (zero failures to our knowledge) to address the powdered iron gear found on the new pumps.
All this is documented well on the slantsix.org web site.

ps contact me if you want to discuss it further.

without remembering what the gear looks like........... Can i change the gear or just swap out the pump! This just started out as a rebuild , but the gear head in me took over. I just want to see what this thing will do. I started on this motor in 95. Then i saw almost the exact same thing that i did in hotrod mag. Now its , is mine going to be the same or better. I'm going to look into this oil pump thing. Got any ideas on a dist. Talked to a factory mopar dude that said he runs /6's. He gave me parts # for the dist. But it calls for the orange ecu. From what i've read thats not the best choice. What about mallorys dist .? Do you know?
