First Day at the track
The rearend /suspension is gunna have to work to get it to hook.Lots of ways to accomplish this .The main goal is to get the rearend to plant the tires as it tries to lift the body .I have just wore out OE 6 cylinder springs and torsion bars on my Dart with OE wore out shocks .Im using slapper bars on mine with the snubbers preloaded slightly to get the lift on the body and its working. You might want to try out sum real slicks for the track sessions.Im using 26x8.5x15 M/T's on 7 inch wheels with 15 psi in them.I usually get high 1.5 60 foots with a best of 1.54 .BTW im launching at 3500 rpm on a transbrake with a mild 408 and a Powerglide.Heres a short vid of my Dart to see what your after with the suspension.Notice how it lifts the rear of the body as it plants the tires and bounces the frontend slightly shifting more weight to the rear tires.I have heard good and bad things about the S/S springs working ,but im pretty happy with the slapper bars and spongy springs on my car...
