    What's missing.

'67 uses a one year only plastic lock strip. As Kendog mentioned, they can shrink quite a bit. Unless it's a restoration, most people like to use the '68-up stainless molding instead.....along with the more available windshield gasket. Otherwise, find a repro lock strip that will work and call...

400/426 Stroker. Ever heard of one?

I thought you did an amazing job with that 470 build you shared awhile back. In fact, that build is what inspired me to get the 400 in the first place .

400/426 Stroker. Ever heard of one?

The offset grind was about $300. The new cranks I found were near $1200. I also had the steel crank sitting on the shelf from a ‘68 383 that I ended up selling. Plus, like RAMM mentioned, I wanted to do something different by targeting big(ish) cubes with a small block feel. I regretted stroking...

    What gets a car moving?

Because we all KNOW the woman ran it out of gas. My wife is notorious for that trick. She says “the low fuel light wasn’t on THAT long”. And I said it was on plenty long. When the gauge says a 1/4 tank tell me and I’ll fill it up.

    Gerahead's 71 Dart

Question for you guys on headliner installation. I have the style that has the bows slipping into a set of three holes at different heights in each bow location. The headliner was removed prior to me getting the car, so I don't know what the previous locations were. I have a set of bows from a...

    What gets a car moving?

how is there no argument about who ran the car out of gas (or was supposed to fill it) or who broke it (or didn't fix it right or build it tough enough)?

    Steering column interchange

You might want to check the ignition switch and turn signal switch plugs too. I seem to remember something different there. As a whole column, it should fit the car. Some individual parts are different. As Scody21 mentioned, the interlock system is totally different. So is the ignition lock...

100% we've all been young and dumb and clueless. believe it or not, even i paid the fine and did my time for crimes against automotive decency. but these days, there's no excuse. the information is out there, the resources exist, and yet the collective ignorance still perseveres. it's only...

    new glass options

Thats what I read too. the expensive stuff is the date coded glass. I think you convinced me to get the gray tinted glass, since I'm not doing a full blown restoration and I'm adding A/C to the car, the grey I believe would work best for me. I am curious as to how long it took to get it once...

Antenna installation on a ‘63 Valiant

The fender may have been changed at some point with one that had a radio, or, someone drilled a hole to add an antenna and routed the cable some other way. All the early A-bodies I've seen that were radio delete didn't have a hole in the fender for an antenna. Photo of the hole and delete plate...
