Yup! You may be correct if the measurements you have are the same as my driveshafts. I am going to pull out both driveshafts and check the measurements. I did buy my car used and its possible the wrong shaft or a different shaft was in it. Pics to follow.

Motor’s worth $2500 around here, I buy 2 wheel drives nobody wants and put them on irrigation wells. Like everything they were worth more the last few years but prices are dropping. Good motors if they have had any maintenance.

How are you addressing the width issues? I saw this done before and it included cutting the axle tubes down to proper size, cutting off the axle ends and welding on the 8 3/4 or 8 1/4 ends in order to use passenger car axles and brakes.

Even though it don't make a bunch of hp, it does make it at cruising rpm so instead of dropping gears to get into the power band, you just got to give a little more gas when needed cause your already In the power band.

Yes, But what a lot don't seem to get its a rotational force but its not rotation its self that would be hp. Eg.. 500 lbs-ft at 4000 rpms, 500 lbs-ft of torque is the average per revolution so basically each revolution. Hp is the sum of all 4000 revolutions 381 hp why as torque moves up in rpm...
