Trouba deserved 5 and a game last night, that was a joke. Rod I think embellished it a bit, but that was WWE bs right there, and not the 1st time this playoffs. Goof.

    Rear end swap/install

i always found it easier to let the springs down and just ease it right on out the back rather than futz around with trying to jump it over the springs and lever it in/out from the side coming and going. different strokes for different folks and all that.

'70 Dart 392 Project; what direction?

Minor progress happening. Got the coldmaster HEAT/AC evaporator in, still gotta route coolant lines and connect a switch 12V source but it is minor progress. It fits pretty easily under the glove box, will have about 1” of the bottom of the evap unit exposed when fully mounted. Got my Cold...

    adjusting valve lash 422 SB

The 8 position method is the most accurate way to set the valves. I don’t use it if I’m doing a lash loop or similar but most of the time I use it. What makes you think they were set right to start with?

    [WANTED] Plymouth horn button

Thanks Mark, yeah I didn't even realize there was a "rocket" version, I've only ever seen fratzog and valiant styles. I had a member offer me a trade which was tempting. He has the rocket that I want but its not quite as nice cosmetically, altho mine is missing the 1 "rivet".

Time to start the build up

Yeah I know. It's basically... do I want to have another 100 HP or a couple grand less in the bank account. Right now the money is needed so the hundo will have to wait.

    How to fix steering slop?

Yeah, that’s how stock mopar power steering boxes are. Your options are to drop a smooth g for the upgrade (super tight), go to manual (better but still can be a little sloppy), or just deal with it.

    adjusting valve lash 422 SB

Hi, New engine, 422 stroker roller cam .740/.722, installed 106* (engine wasn't built by me, when I first saw it, it was complete) Engine was broken in on dyno, and I ran it for 1/2 hour and changed oil and filter. I went to adjust the valves (first time by me). maybe 25% of the valves were...

    How does this look?

Easy to say, hard to explain and give specific info. To me it looks a hair lean. Not something I’d worry a whole lot about. I don’t see the timing mark left behind on the electrode ground. What carb and jets, etc…. FWIW, I think it’s going pretty good for you so far.

You could paint some silver stripes on your junction box, and it'd match your valve cover.

    A-Body Round #2- My '76 Scamp restore...

Currently waiting on some more Lokar stuff to arrive so I can finish the throttle and kickdown cables... need to get it to the exhaust shop to have them make a modification to the pipe as with the new location it just barely rubs against the tranny linkage... then clean up wiring, hood back on...

    A-Body Round #2- My '76 Scamp restore...

Good progress today... plenty more to go.... anxious to let the Sniper "learn" to improve the mixture and also get it out of the garage where throttle can be sustained a bit- the quick on/off revs seem to make a hammering noise in the garage as the blowoff valve opens and closes... may end up...

    How does this look?

That is in way, Way WAY TOO SOON. That head only needs 30, maybe 32 total and it doesn’t need anywhere near that at peak torque. Probably 24 at peak torque. Maybe a skosh less. Unless you have compression less than 9:1 and a huge cam that curve is killing power. Peak torque is about 1500...

    How to fix steering slop?

The next step is a new or rebuilt steering box. The Mopar unit is notorious for wearing out faster than other models. I had Chevy steering boxes that felt great despite being over 100,000 miles. Saginaw built the units for GM. Ma Mopar built theirs in house. The design you see in the last rear...
