I've been searching, but it's a bit harder to find than I thought. I'm not completely limited on distance, I appreciate anything in the ballpark or alternatives(shipping might be optional... maybe). I was looking to prove some denier/s wrong that have never assembled a complete running engine.
The retorquing is something I was thinking of doing not what I have done in the past. A straight edge goes on it tomorrow, I didn't get a chance to look at it today. Life got in the way.
I did put 5 gallons of fresh gas in before I started it in April. I did start it a couple of times during...
Not enough backspace (are your new wheels original centerline autodrags?). 215/65x15 same height as a 225/60, almost an inch narrower.
(There were, at one time,15x5 or 5.5 auto drags. I haven't seen a pair, other than mine, in years)
This past Sunday a few members, of our car club, met up at a local restaurant before heading in to the Stellantis Cars & Coffee gathering. There was probably between 400-500 cars there (all makes, models & years).
With big bolt pattern spindles I run a 15x6 with 205 70 tire 4.5 back space (didn’t like that widened track width) and a rear 255 60 15 tire, when I got the car it had 15x7 with 4 in bs 225 60 15. I installed 235 60 15s it will fit but it’s tight.
To be honest I wouldn’t run a 60 series tire up...
I found them on NAPA site, but there were no details as to the material. However, there was a photo of a brass connector. So I ordered some and were delivered to the local store. When I picked them up this morning, I found them to be other than brass. So, back to the drawing board.
I searched all my pics and unfortunately wasn’t able to find any. Apparently when I test fitted and found the interference, I swapped back to the correct locations. All done without taking time to document with pics or notes. Sorry I wasn't more helpful.
But I recommend you test fit for...
The super six bell crank was directional change only one to one ratio. What are you working on, does it have bell crank one to one ratio what about length of lever. wonder if super six linkage will work on all older trannys?
Since this engine was together for so long with zero issues is there anyway you fired it up this year on old pump gas. I just wondering if it got stale on you. As far as retorquing head bolts as often as you do you are stretching your bolts year after year if you aren’t replacing them. Good...
